Each AURA QUE design has been individually handcrafted and brought to life by Nepalese producer groups that employ local people, providing an income for themselves and their families according to fair trade principles.
Every product is developed in collaboration with Nepalese charity producer groups using traditional skills and local materials, aiming to create opportunities for the people who make our products. We are able to help employ more people by using handmade materials and processes, such as handwoven cottons, handknitted yarn and hand-operated knitting machines. We also incorporate local and sustainable materials where possible including handknitted banana yarn, bamboo fibre, handwoven cotton, high quality faux leather and real leather.
It is important for us to continue to work closely and collaborate on new products providing these small producer groups, family businesses and handicraft units with work to empower the people who work there and help the charities affiliated with these organisations.
The unique story behind each AURA QUE product enhances its charm!
