Every AURA QUE product is designed in London and brought to life in Nepal & Vietnam by charity handicraft units and WFTO producer groups that employ local people that may be affected by discrimination or disabilities, providing an income for themselves and their families according to fair trade principles.
We create beautiful quality products and gifts that can be treasured and used season after season, whilst considering ethical and environmental principles as much as we can. The people we work with are most important to AURA QUE, with our main aim to encourage empowerment through work for disadvantaged people in countries such as Nepal.
AURA QUE incorporates local and sustainable materials where possible including handknitted banana yarn, bamboo fibre, handwoven cotton, high quality faux leather and real leather. We encourage the use of handmade materials and processes, promoting traditional skills and employing more people through the production process.
It is important for us to continue to work closely and collaborate with small producer groups, family businesses and handicraft units, to empower the people who work there and help the charities affiliated with these organisations.
Our recent collaboration with the world renowned textile artist Kaffe Fassett has expanded our production network to Vietnam, working with a WFTO member producer group in Hanoi to stitch cotton goods with Kaffe’s artwork. This collaboration has brought a vibrant colourful range of accessories as a capsule collection to the AURA QUE range, which complements our classic product range.
The unique story behind each AURA QUE product enhances its charm!
