Trends: Mono Pattern by Katie Law
We’re embracing pattern again, in fashion and interiors, which together with the rise in popularity of mindful colouring-in books, has resulted in the mono pattern trend. It's all about intricate decorative details, repeated in a pleasing, soothing way. As a look, it’s pared-down but interesting, easy to live with but stimulating - and above - all surprisingly versatile, well suited to lots of different surfaces. As trend leaders, our Pulse exhibitors have interpreted the mono pattern trend and made it their own, in every decorative sphere, from cards and prints to tea towels and wallpaper.

Meet the Retailer: Noah Crutchfield: co-founder and creative director of Maiden.
I set up Maiden in 2009 in Shoreditch High Street as the place to go for something fun, fresh and funny and offbeat. Last year we moved to Boxpark Shoreditch and now have twin permanant stores there: The Gift Box by Miaden and The Play Box by Maiden. Both stock a bright, eclectic range of design-led homewares and gifts, many with a humourous twist that our brand has become renowned for. We also sell online at maidenshop.com.
As we seek deeper meaning in a world of information overload, art and culture are embraced to encourage storytelling through design. Contemporary libraries take on a new purpose beyond just reading and become an oasis in modern life, enabling people to disconnect and make time for education, reflection and introspection.
